Install Aftermarket Pipes On A Harley Classic

Harley-Davidson manufactured five different Electra Glides classics between 1999 and 2005. All have the traditional Harley V-Twin engine complete with dual exhaust pipes. All Classic models use pipes that bolt to the exhaust ports on the engine heads and then secure to the frame via a bracket located on the lower left side of the frame. There are countless aftermarket exhausts that you can retrofit onto your Harley Classic.

Instructions

1. Remove the two bolts that secure the exhaust pipe to the exhaust port on the front cylinder of the engine. This is the cylinder closest to the front of the bike. Use a socket and ratchet to remove the bolts.

2. Locate the Allen bolts that secure the tailpipe to the bracket on the lower left side of the frame. Remove the Allen bolt with an Allen wrench and remove the pipe from the Harley.
